We were able to do two coats of the glaze on the backsplash and the bottom of the shelf. We would like to get the backsplash boards in place tomorrow afternoon or evening -- glued to the OSB we put against the wall. That way, the wallboard will come down to the edge of the backsplash.

This is after the first coat of the glaze, with plastic (carefully) suspended over the work to keep it warm...
Three pictures after the second thicker coat of glaze -- before we put the plastic back in place (you can see the racks to that we clipped the plastic to -- tightly strung across)...
The little white blob was not on the shelf -- it must be a reflection... Note that we didn't have to go all the way to the edge of the shelf bottom because it will sit on top of the backsplash.
