Preparation for Pouring the Slab

We will be pouring the garage slab tomorrow because the inspection didn't take place until late morning, and that would have put it too late in the day -- we would have been getting into the dark which would make it difficult to finish.

So, I will be loading a few pictures of the little bit of forms that we have to do a little later.

Meanwhile, I thought it would be nice to show what I'm going to have to do to install the vacuum system in the walls.  I have some of the inlets, and the vacuum tubing and connectors (Tees and Elbows), so I can show what I will do to install two of these inlets on opposite sites of the same wall...

 

Above are two of these inlets -- front of one and back of the other, and a Tee.

 

 Above is the inlet opened.

 

Above shows that the two inlets cannot be placed back to back if they are installed vertically as you would normally expect to see them.

 

If I turn the Tee so that the inlet will be be horizontal on the wall, then you can see they will both fit.

 

Here, they are assembled in this way.
